# How do I determine the hourly rate on a further education workforce data submission?

In order to build reliable data sets that will help improve policies pertaining to staff specialisms, pay, **DfE** programmes, and skill gaps within the **Education** sector, it is a mandatory requirement from September **2022** to collect **Further Education** workforce data for the **2021** to **2022** academic year.

Within **Cintra iQ**, you must define a **Units * Rates** addition heading that will be used for calculating an employee's casual worker hourly rate for the **FEWD** submission.

## To set the addition heading

1. Navigate to the Addition Headings definition window. Go to **Cintra iQ**: Payroll > Payroll Setup > Adjustments > Addition Heading.
2. Open the desired **Units* Rates** heading. The **Main Settings** tab is automatically displayed.
3. Ensure the **Is Hourly Rate for FE Workforce Data Submission** option is selected.

4. Click the **OK** button. The hourly rate will be applied when you generate the submission.
