# How do I generate the pension provider file format?

**Cintra iQ** allows files to be created for certain **Pension Providers**.

To set up **Pension Provider Files**, you must

1. Set up the file type and **Pension Scheme Reference**,
2. Assign the **Pension Provider** to the **Pension Scheme** and
3. Set up **Pension Groups**.

## To generate the required file format

1. Navigate to the **Third Party Associations** definition window. Go to **Cintra iQ**: Payroll > Payroll Setup > Third Party Associations…
2. Open the relevant **Pension Scheme Provider** definition. The **Pension Scheme Provider** window appears.
3. Navigate to the **Other Settings** tab.
4. Select the desired **Pension Provider File Format** from the drop-down list.
5. Click the **Apply** button to save.
6. Click the **OK** button to exit.
