# MCR: Can I have a single contract represented by multiple employee in post records?

## How do I have a single contract represented by multiple employees?

Single **Contract/Roles** can be represented by a single employee in post record, and a single pension contribution record. You can also have a single contract represented by multiple employee in post records. For example, where additional responsibility has been separated out and is indicated by a separate employee in post record. However, a single pension contribution record is not attached to a post. **C1/R1** are both posts but has one line in the **MCR** file and the annual amounts are summed together.

> [!WARNING]
> **Important:** If you have multiple posts representing one single contract, you need to make sure that your role identifier is exactly the same for both posts.
