How Do I Create Deduction Headings for Voluntary Deductions?

Within Cintra iQ, you can create deduction headings for Voluntary Deductions, which then be used when setting up a deduction to be applied to an employee.

To create a voluntary deduction heading

  1. Navigate to the Deduction Headings definition window.
    Go to Cintra iQ: Payroll> Payroll Setup> Adjustments> Deduction Headings
  2. Click the New button. The New Deduction Heading form appears.
  3. Enter the heading's Name.
  4. Select the Category: Employment Standard Deduction.
  5. Click the Next button. The Employment Standard Deduction form appears.
  6. In the Main Settings tab, enter the following where necessary.
    1. Description
    2. Batch Import Code
    3. Third Party Payee
  7. Specify the deduction amount values.
  8. Click the Other tab.
  9. Select one or more of the following:
    1. Deducted before Tax
    2. Deducted before NI
    3. Deducted in Holiday Weeks
    4. Reduces Wage for national Minimum Wage
    5. Deduction may be reduced
    6. Deduction attract Arrears. Note: Arrears are carried across Payroll Year End.
    7. Deduction can be pro-rata'd
    8. Deduction can be disabled
    9. Foreign Tax Adjustment.
  10. Click the Apply button. The Deduction heading appears in the Deductions Heading window.
