Statutory Sick Pay Claims are automatically created when sickness records are created in the Calendar.

When a new employee fall ill, there might not be sufficient data on payroll to calculate Average Weekly Earnings (AWE). To establish eligibility, AWE must be provided. Cintra IQ will flag missing AWE on the exception report. The user can then override their average earnings for SSP below.
To view a SSP claim
Navigate to the Sick Pay window.
Go to Cintra iQ: Employment Record > Forms > Sick Pay.Navigate to the Statutory tab > Claims for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) pane.
Open the desired SSP claim. You can view its details.
Sickness Dates & PIW Details tab: Within this tab, you can view the Sickness dates and the Period of Incapacity from Work (PIW) dates.
Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) tab: Within this tab, you can view and edit the statutory payment details.
To manually adjust SSP days
Navigate to the Sick Pay window.
Go to Cintra iQ: Employment Record > Forms > Sick Pay.Navigate to the Statutory tab > Claims for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) pane.
Open the desired SSP Claim. The SSP Claim window appears.
Navigate to the Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) tab.
Click the SSP Days button. The Period of Incapacity for Work (PIW) is displayed.
Select the desired day and alter accordingly.
Click the OK button.
To override average earnings for SSP
Navigate to the Sick Pay window.
Go to Cintra iQ: Employment Record > Forms > Sick Pay.Navigate to the Statutory tab > Claims for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) pane.
Open the desired SSP Claim. The SSP Claim window appears.
Navigate to the Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) tab. Click the Relevant Earnings button. The relevant period over which the Average Earnings are generated is displayed.
Override the Average Earnings value if required.
If you do override the Average Earnings you need to calculate the payslip again in order to regenerate the values.
Click the OK button.
Click the Payment Details button to review SSP payments within payroll periods.
