If you are looking to take annual leave, you can submit a holiday request to your manager through Cintra's Self-Service Holiday module. The request can then be reviewed and approved by your manager(s), which depends on your company's tiered approval structure.
Note: If you are the manager submitting the request on behalf of an employee, you should have approval from the employee to proceed. The request will then be approved automatically.
How do I check previous and future holiday requests?
If you want to revisit previous years’ holiday requests or check any future holidays, you can do so through the Calendar and Team calendar.
Sign into Self-Service.
Navigate to the Holiday Bookings page by clicking on the Holiday menu option.
At the top-left, click the Year drop-down.
Select a year. All its absences will be displayed.
You can use the forward and back arrows to select other years.
How do I view my team's holidays not in the current month?
You can view yours and your colleagues’ different types of absences and their statuses for a particular month within Team calendar. The colour codes, explained at the bottom of the page, allow you to see the team’s activities at a glance.
To view your team member's holiday statuses:
Sign into Self-Service.
Navigate to the Holiday Bookings page by clicking on the Holiday menu option.
Click the Team button.
Select the desired month either by clicking the Back arrow or Forward arrow buttons.
Click the Category drop-down list. A list of categories appears.
Select the desired option(s).
Click off the drop-down list. The results are displayed on the calendar.
Click the Status drop-down list. A list of statuses appears.
Select the desired option(s).
Click off the drop-down list. The results are displayed on the calendar.
How do I print calendar information?
If you prefer to have a paper copy of your calendar activities, you can print the Holiday Requests from Calendar and Team calendar.
Sign into Self-Service.
Navigate to the Holiday Bookings page by clicking on the Holiday menu option.
Click the download PDF button in either the Calendar view or Team calendar view. A prompt appears at the bottom of the page in the left-hand corner.
Click the up arrow to open the file. The calendar is displayed in a printable format.
Click the Print icon. The Print window appears.
Configure the window where necessary.
Click the Print button. The calendar display is printed.
How do I know who approves my holiday requests?
If you submitted an annual leave request and want to know who approves your request, you can review your request approval structure through Cintra's Self-Service Holiday module.
To see which managers are responsible for approving your request:
Sign in to Self-Service.
Navigate to the Holiday Bookings page by clicking the Holiday menu option.
Open either the Booking Request, Approved Request or Rejected Request, depending on the type of requests available.
Find Show Request Information and clicking the to expand the list. The manager(s) and approval details appear.
A booking Request will only show approval/rejection details once it is approved or rejected.
