Overview of Payroll functionality

Prev Next

Cintra People Payroll manages all aspects of paying your employees accurately and on time. This includes:

  • Payroll processing: Run payrolls for different pay frequencies (weekly, monthly, etc.). Submit payrolls, review calculations, and track payroll status through submission and approval stages.

  • Employee pay management: One-off payments and deductions. Configure pensions, benefits, and sick pay schemes for individual employees.

  • HMRC compliance: Complete starter checklists for new employees.

  • Pay documents and history: Distribute payslips and access complete payment history for all employees.

  • Reporting and dashboards: View payroll summaries showing gross pay, net pay, starters, and leavers. Run detailed reports on costs, variances, and employee payments. Export payroll data for further analysis.

  • Payments and liabilities: Track payment schedules and net pay amounts. Manage HMRC payments and pension contributions. Monitor employer costs and deductions.

Please note that much of the payroll setup, such as pension schemes, headings, and other benefit schemes, must be set up in Cintra iQ or by your Bureau before they can be used in Cintra People Payroll. See the Cintra iQ help.

Additional payroll functionality

Some payroll functions are managed outside of Cintra People Payroll, depending on your service type:

  • Outsourced payroll customers: Advanced payroll configuration and year-end processing are managed by your Bureau partner. If you are not able to edit something yourself within the Payroll tab, you will need to submit it to your Bureau for them to enter.

  • Customers who manage their own payroll: Advanced payroll setup, pension configuration, statutory reporting, and a few areas of employee management are managed in Cintra iQ. If you are not able to edit something yourself within the Payroll tab, you will need to edit it in Cintra iQ. See the Cintra iQ help for more information.
