Dashboard
Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be taken to your dashboard. The contents of your dashboard will vary depending on your permissions and required actions. However, as a general user you can:
Create a new expense claim
Add receipts
Submit any draft claims
View all receipts and submitted claims
If you’re an approver, your dashboard will also remind you about any outstanding approvals you need to perform.

Side menu
When you’re logged in, the side menu lets you access the key areas of the system, such as expenses, approvals, or accounting.

The Capture Expense features available to you will depend on:
Your user type: e.g. admin, approver, or user.
Which additional features your organisation has purchased: e.g. Ask James (AI) or advances.

From here, you can access the following:
Ask James: a new AI feature that lets you query data or ask questions about Capture Expense. See AI in Capture Expense.
Help: Access this help.
Notifications: Read about the latest updates to Capture Expense.
Your account: Click your initials to change your password, preferences, and other details.
Setup menu
If you are an administrator and setting up Capture Expense for the first time, click Setup at the bottom left of the screen to access the areas that must be set up. For more information, see our onboarding article.
Expenses
If you are a general user of Capture Expense, you’ll mostly be uploading/scanning receipts and submitting expenses. For more information, see Introduction to the expenses process.
